The Cincinnati Choral Society is “Swingin’ With the Gershwins”

On May 5th and 6th the Cincinnati Choral Society, under the direction of Philip Clary, will be collaborating with the Indian Hill High School Jazz band, under the direction of Don Barker, to offer two concerts in the Village of Indian Hill – at the Indian Hill High School Auditorium, and at Indian Hill Church’s Guild Hall. Both concerts are free of charge (donations accepted).

Since it was founded in 1974, CCS has sung in famed venues including New York’s Carnegie Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and All Hallows by the Tower of London. CCS has also performed with local orchestras and chamber ensembles, including the Cincinnati Pops, the Kentucky Symphony and the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. Stage and Screen

The Clermont Chorale’s Spring 2018 season, “Stage and Screen,” is a musical celebration of opera, film, and broadway featuring some classics of the genres, including Summertime (Porgy and Bess) and Va Pensiero (Nabucco), City of Stars (La La Land) and Singin’ in the Rain (Singin’ in the Rain), and Ballad of Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd) and Seasons of Love (Rent) to name a few.
