Northern Kentucky Community Chorus (Stephanie Nash, conductor)
“Songs of the Season”
This concert is a mix of secular and sacred pieces that touch everyone’s heart during the Christmas season. There will be two seldom-heard pieces by John Rutter, a beautiful Cantata for Christmas by Cecilia McDowall, a new piece by Craig Hella Johnson that explores the boundaries between sacred and popular music, and even a Forties favorite: ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas”, made famous by Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians. Harrison VOCE invites you to celebrate the holiday season at their annual holiday concert December 9, 2017.?The choir will be performing?at 7 pm?in Martin Marietta Theater at Harrison High School activity center.
“A Naughty & Nice Christmas” is a light-hearted concert with a combination of traditional, contemporary, and historical pieces.? The audience will laugh out loud, meet some very special guests, and enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Everyone will leave the theater with a smile on their face and joy in their heart.
Harrison VOCE is a volunteer, non-profit organization.?VOCE, pronounced VOE-CHAY, has double meaning – Italian for ‘voice’ and an acronym for Voices of Choral Excellence.??Founded in 2013 by Karen Schweinfest and 40 inaugural members, VOCE brings joy and musical education to Harrison and the surrounding communities through choral music.
